Making
Life a Masterpiece - Rachel Goldsworthy
The
only constant in life is change. Most of us have heard that
expression in one form or another, and most of us have also
noticed that some people enjoy life more than others. As the
century turns to a new millenium, the connection is becoming
clearer: the people who are most productive and enjoy life
the most are those who learn to accept and adapt to the changes
that are such an integral part of our world.
Lekha
Shah is such a person. Her relationships with her
grown children get sweeter as the years go by. She has found
fulfillment in her work. Friendships are deep and satisfying.
She has faced life’s challenges, met them resourcefully,
learned from them, and grown. She sparkles with kindness, radiates
health and the energy of someone twenty years younger..
During
her early life in India, Kenya, and England, Lekha absorbed
the holistic, intuitive perspective of her Eastern
background and the more rational Western philosophy.
As an adult, she lived and studied in cosmopolitan centres
and rural retreats, meeting people from all walks of life
with diverse backgrounds and points of view.
"What
a life!" Lekha says with wonder. "I wouldn’t
change any of it, all the pain, everything."
From
her childhood as the daughter of an international banker, to
her young adulthood with her own family in London and
Jersey, and later on her own in Paris, Hawaii, and Victoria,
Lekha
has learned to embrace what life can teach her.
"I
had done some healing work before I separated from my husband," Lekha
says. "The Silva Mind Control method helped me to
understand my mind, to give power back to myself.".
Then
she moved to Paris and "met all the right people in different
healing fields." Studying and then working with Dr. Chuck
Spezzano taught her about the hidden dynamics in relationships
and in our own minds, and how to use others as mirrors to see
ourselves and heal.
"My
mind just opened, and once I started it was like I’d
been waiting for it all my life," Lekha says. "I
started feeling wonderful."
Lekha
began to study Body Harmony with Dr. Don McFarland, and learned
about healing with energy,
raising her sensitivity
to enable her
to listen to the body’s messages. Memories of unhealed
negative experiences responsible for its present condition
could now be
transformed through listening to the body and using appropriate
techniques.
"I
found part of me I’d never expressed," she says. "I
had an incredible burst of energy."
That
energy has never faded and for the past 12 years she has been
using it along
with her many skills to help people regain
their own strengths, heal wounds, and live their dreams.
"It’s
such a privilege to work with people this way," Lekha
says.
She
is a certified hypnotherapist and Neuro-Lingustic Programming
practitioner, holds a diploma from the Faculty
of Astrological
Studies in the UK, is a Trainer of the Psychology of Vision,
is a graduate of Anthony Robbins’ Mastery University,
and a practitioner of Mind/Body Harmony and Raindrop Therapy.
The
different fields have given her a balance in how she looks
at the world and how she works with people. She finds it
both stimulating
and challenging and it encourages her to constantly search
for better, easier, and more effective ways to help.
"A
person needs so many facets in life," she says. "My
studies help me create a balance between resourceful
states for the mind and emotions, the body, and the spiritual.
The universe
gives us so many tools to heal."
Lekha
knows firsthand, though, that even knowledge and support don’t automatically
make healing easy.
"The
healing process is part of Life itself," she acknowledges. "But
the techniques I use make healing a much quicker
process than it used to be."
Indeed,
she points out that many of her clients can actually resolve
issues or find the root of the problem within the first hour
of working with her. Sometimes it happens just that quickly.
And often the benefits are obvious right away, too.
“When
you start living who you truly are, people start to really
respect you. As you heal, your relationship with everything
around
you changes.”
Lekha
knows that in business and in private life, change is inevitable – and
often desirable.
"If
we’re not continually evolving, it affects everyone
around us. It’s like we have to eat every day, drink
every day. We always have to learn about ourselves and
grow."
Lekha
focuses her combination of skills on each person’s
unique needs. Some people are ready to work in all areas,
she says: spiritual, emotional, physical, psychological.
But many
need to look at just one or two, and that’s appropriate,
too. Lekha recognizes that we are all at different phases
in our lives and our healing, and need different things
from a counsellor
or therapist.
Whether
you want to regain your self-confidence, resolve relationship
problems, eliminate beliefs that
limit your
life, or understand
the psychological cause of physical ailments, Lekha
can help you. She has studied with many different teachers
who are
leaders in their fields, including Dr. Chuck Spezzano,
Dr. Tad James,
Dr. Don McFarland, and Anthony Robbins. Having overcome
her own insecurities, inhibitions, and acute shyness,
having walked across
burning coals a number of times as well as put herself
through
various mind/body challenges, she knows firsthand the
power and passion that is generated when mind, body
and spirit
work together
as a team.
"You
get a glimpse of the vastness of your true potential. It is
my most sacred wish to enable those who work with me to discover
this truth for themselves so they can make and live
their lives
as a masterpiece." |
